A cozy Italian dinner on historic Stone Street Antica is my new favorite spot in the city: warm lighting, white tablecloths and a little piece of Italy downtown. We started with grilled calamari, polpettine, melanzane rollatini and cacio e pepe. For mains I had the rib eye and the filet mignon in green peppercorn sauce, with asparagus, mushrooms and a bottle of Montepulciano. Dessert was tiramisu, crème brûlée and affogato, with a French coffee to finish. The food was excellent, and so was the service. Every one of our waiters was attentive and warm and never rushed us. Faultless! I chose Cacio e Pepe, something I have never mastered at home. It was cooked in front of me and it did not disappoint. I had a lovely Negroni and a free Limoncello. A wonderful experience!

We had a delightful lunch here when we stayed nearby a couple of weeks ago. My son and I loved our meal and the service was excellent! Jose even made our Caesar table-side and it was delicious!
